CITY LIFE 3

The classes will be starting monday,I learn. So I take the opportunity to learn about the campus basics to be in the know.
Just as I was leaving the noisy hall,a lady holds my hand and when I turn to see who it was,I stare at a fairly tall beautiful lady.

I saw you copy the same timetable as mine. I think we are going to be classmates...
Wow,that would be nice.
We exchange contacts for updates about classes.You know how it feels when you make your first girlfriend at campus and you feel this one is just your type?
Peter,helps us walk around,showing us lecture halls,washrooms,offices and where to find a bite in case of hunger pains.That is all we needed to know at the moment.And we were good to go.Good to go without Peter Mwangi.How I wish he was handsome enough though,may be,just may be,I would have liked him.....Hahaha.
Evelyn and I stroll in town,familiarizing ourselves with the streets and buildings in this town.You know getting lost is so real,so real that I wasn't recalling where buses to my estate actually were....Yes,it can get that pissing.
We get to do fries for late lunch as we talk about ourselves and all that came to our stupid minds.
Evelyn gets to foot the bills. I couldn't foot mine because I had only bus fare with me.I had no single cent to pay for fries.Though Eve was kind enough.She must be coming from a good family.
The thing is,my family had been hit by an underskirt missile.We were going through tough times and my brother was just joining high school.Things were pretty tough and overwhelming for my dad as he was the sole  bread winner.
Him raising money for our school fees and bus fares should be enough. Right?
I knew things were going to get better with time.I wasn't going to nag him over money to pay for fries at the campus.That would be so unfair.
We later kiss goodbyes and head to our different destinations.
That was great.Isn't it?
Accomplishing day one absolutely with no major hitches,that was superb.
As I walked down the busy streets,I allow my eyes to set on all that could be seen.
From beautiful new cars,to expensive machines and ooh yes,there were old and screechy ones too.
Beautiful ladies dressed in both amazing and confusing attires.I remember one who had piercings all over her lips,ears,nose and at the eyebrow tip.I mean wasn't that madness? Piercing all over? To make it even more hilarious,she had this hawk on her head. One part of it blue and the other other blonde.
Jeez,my mom would shave those things off my head with a razor blade and hit me to death.
This is a city of madness.
"Will I survive in  this city for four years seeing all that I have seen today and still remain a conservative?"
I don't know how,but just somehow I made it to the bus station.It wasn't that heard after all.I thought I would get lost for my uncle had only pointed to me.
I get in the bus sit by the window and I relax to think of how the following days at the campus would be.
My parents had mentioned lots of crazy things to me about what happens in campuses and I was so eager to see for myself.
I sit back,close my eyes and resign to the boiling excitement in my stomach.Can't wait for Monday to come!
